Here are the 5 impressively simple exercises to shape and tone your legs in the privacy of your home without any costly machines or equipment. You can even do these workouts while watching your preferred show.


1. Calf Raise
With your legs less than shoulder width apart. Bring yourself up onto your toes and contract your calves. You can give yourself a better range of motion if you do this on an aerobic step or maybe the stairs. Slowly and gradually bring yourself down and let yourself sink down into your heels, then repeat.

 

2. Hip Extension
Lower yourself down to the ground and while on knees and your hands, bring your right leg up while it is bent till the knee is lined up with your back. From that point resume to lift your leg higher so that you sense a squeeze in your butt. Then bring your leg back down to the floor and repeat with the other leg, shifting between both sides.

 
3. Bodyweight Squats
The squat is considered to be the king of all lower body exercises. To do one correctly assure that you stand with your feet around shoulder distance apart. For balance, you can stretch both arms out in front of your body. Slowly and gradually bend your knees while sitting back down as if you were beginning to sit in a chair. Make sure to maintain your back straight and never ever let your knees go beyond your toes to avoid injury.

 
4. Bridging
While on the floor with your both knees bent. Put your arms by your sides and gently lift your tush and low back up till you sense a squeeze in your flutes. Once you reach the top, halt for a second and then lower yourself down to the floor. Repeat 10 to 15 times or more.

 
5. Lunges
Step straight ahead with your right leg and gradually lower yourself down while keeping your body moving in a straight line. Keep your hands down at your sides or place them on your hip bones to maintain balance. Just as with the squats make sure that your knees do not go past your toes. Then interchange back and forth between the left and right leg.
